Stand for my Roadstar

Postby ZAZ » Tue Jan 19, 2010 4:16 pm

Hey everyone,

I am looking for a stand that will allow me to roll on a tire and hand rotate it so I can clean my wheels.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Zaz :D

"Alan,
I saw this in Cycle World Magazine it is called the Wheel Jockey and costs $54. wheeljockey.com It is a small set of rollers that you roll the bike up on using the side stand and it lets you roll the wheel.
I also have the Craftsman Motorcycle jack, but this would be easier to use when you are cleaning, or just checking the air pressure."

The quote above is the reply to the same inquiry you made January 19. Let us know what more what you are looking for as the wheel jockey is great for wheel cleaning, and the jacks like the Craftsman or Harbor Freight are good for cleaning and maintenance work.

Why not just roll the cycle forward a foot and clean the exposed part?

Cost is nothing!

I had been doing that, but by the time I rolled it enough to get the entire tire, I had rolled the bike out of my drive way and into traffic.
